how time flies, it's going to be graduation -
OK since we dont exactly GRADUATE -
the
Commencement Ceremony in 2 week's time.
mr hong approached a few of us AEP students
to come up with the ppt backdrop for
the Commencement Ceremony for the Sec 4 cohort.
the theme was
'A New Chapter',
i figured that they would want it to be quite formal (we all have to wear our ties),
so here are my backdrops for the ppt:

there were lots of inspiring pictures to choose from and i had a hard time choosing these.
but they may not be the ones selected to show the chort though,
cos Grace & Yi Hsin's might be chosen too!
the thought of graduation brings about lots of emotions and maybe tears
and also not to mention great asiprations for the upcoming year.
and oh did i mention?
my final subject combi choice was 4H2 +1H1:
Math, Econ, Computing, Geog, CSE
that is IF they'll allow me to take it.
however, tt is done with the mentality of 'dropping whichever subj tt i dont like.
so i'll most prob end up with 3H2 + 1H1. haha.
i sure hope i made the right choice!
being the optimistic happy-go-lucky girl i am,
i've managed to get over the loss of the 0.06 in overall GPA tt i'm deprived of.
okok so here are some stuff:
(i apologise if it's a bit boring)
i've decieded to take up the following subjects for A Levels:
Geog, Econ, Math, Computing
not going the conventional way aye?
haha. didn't want to take PCME, cos i've completly no interest in it.
and besides, for my Business degree, PCME is NOT a must. (:
i've oringally wanted to take maths as H1,
but realised tt it may not be a very wise decision aftall.
therefore, what i've decided to do is,
to take up 4H2s, then downgrade one them to H1 if i'm given the chance to do a H3.
that way i can try out wad's best for me,
and also to spend more time on my CCAs! :D
i'm joining the
International Stragtegic Affairs Council (ISAC)and
GUITAR CLUB!
haha i'm really looking forward to guitar!
it's like starting in a week time YAY (:
oh but the HCL comes first.
okok i really shld have been studying for it!
i see other ppl so pia i scared alr.
*shiver*
ALL THE BEST to the rest of you guys at o levels! ^_^
home sweet home.
hey ppl, i'm back! (:
aft more than 2 wks of stuffing myself with china rice,
i'm finally back with a new perspective of not only china,
but also globaliasation & the world at large,
and not to mention a huge luggage and a even gain in weight!
yeah. we've been really well-fed these few weeks,
with rice piling on our bowls,
average of at least 4 dishes at sch and 10 dishes at resturants,
and hours of coach sitting to do right aft a meal,
it's enough to make anyone fat.
i ate like so many crabs thru out these wks can?
it's like i dont normally eat even one crab in S'pore la,
go there eat so many!
it's nice la, but jus thinking of the cholestrol is enough to make me shutter.
it adds to the fact that their dishes are very high in sodium content,
u cant get pass a meal w/o at least 2 cups of water.
gain in weight, increase in sodium concentration, breathing in smoke while eating.
yup, u can imagine our dilemma.
they are nice playing the host, serving us lots of food,
we cant refuse the food they serve us, cos that will be rude,
we cant complain abt the smoke, cos that's much worse.
so wad can we do? - bite our teeth and BEAR WITH IT.
haha. eating is not that bad an experience either.
we tried lots of stuff that we haven't eaten b4 in s'pore,
and some turned out to be quite nice!
for example:
egg with vinigar + sugar - sweet and sour
bringal fried with dried chilli,
and also tou hua with cai po!
the salty bean curd proved to be quite tasty (:
oh and we discovered tt kiwi is called 'ni hou tao' over there~
traffic there's quite bad. cars come and go anyhow,
u can knock into a cyclist when u opne the taxi door - yes that really happened,
and see drivers spilting out of their car window! - i count my lucky stars tt it didnt hit me!
oh and the toilet. haiz. wad can i say:
the stench, no flush, no toilet paper, no toilet bowl, no door - it's basically a canal.
imagine when u do big business... u get the point.
haha but dont get freaked out, that's jus some toilets only.
most toilet still ok la.
but i jus dont understand,
why are some of the toilets installed with glass panels overlooking the outside?
isnt' tat jus ridiculous?!
breathing china air - all the pollution and not to menion the cigarette smoke,
really makes one feel like choking sometimes.
oh and when there was typhoon - yes we met with one,
there were these white fluffy things flying ard.
at first i thought it was dust,
but on close observation, we discovered tt they were flies!!!
YUCKz! i wont want to know how many i breathed in lor!
and abt queues.
haiz. it's hard to maintain order i suppose,
lots of ppl just cut queue.
there's no use agruing with them,
they'll jus shout thru everything with their loud voice.
it happend at the air port, someone tried to cut our queue.
we know once we kena cut then very hard to join back le mah,
cos ours is one whole grp, so quite ma fan,
li lao shi was shouted at,
so mr ang went to talk nicely with them - no use,
mr teo then went to agrue with them abt 'wen ming',
but in the end, it's still us who did the rang bu.
so much abt civic-mindedness...
but china really widened my perspective in various ways la,
i began to view china as a up and rising global power, which we cant mess wtih.
i began to look at things from a global angle, instead of the usual local one.
i began to realise that there are many on this earth that we will have to compete with,
which made me aware that keen competion is on the way,
and i'll have to work extra hard to achieve what i want.
YES. i'm glad i went on this BSP trip.
i've really experienced a learnt alot.
i will definately jump at any chance that comes in the near future (:
