woah this weekend is going to be super hectic!

saturday: going national museum + semakau training @ NUS + maybe guitar?!
sunday: chingay + fetch nanjing buddie.

yupp my nanjing buddie coming this weekend!
so i'll have to spend the whole of my next week bringing her around s'pore after lessons and even skipping some lessons!
means i'll reach home at 10plus everyday lah.
so i'll hav to chiong finish my homework by tmr! >.< [but the good thing abt them coming is, when i bring them shopping i can shop for my new year stuff too! ] i'll hav to miss guitar cos of my nanjing buddie too! esp guitar concert is countdown 90 days! and i'm alr lagging, which means i must prac extra hard by myself. :( btw, go for guitar concert k?



ohh i'm re-considering if i shld take CSC,
cos i said i'll reconsider if i scored A2 for my HCL.

and i think i MIGHT be able to score.

Why do all the events tt i'm interested in take place in the 1st week of the june hols? :(
shldnt' commit myself to too different things and end up having no time to complete my work.

today was WOAH full of ups and downs tt i really need to slow down to catch a breath.
started from recess onwards i think,
i was golfing down my curry chicken rice
and changing at a super fast speed in order for us not to be late for maths lecture.

the reason?
perhaps today was the day tt the long-awaited o level results are released?
i'm really not so sure as though i was aware of the date,
there wasnt any announcement abt it that quite some of the people affected didnt even know abt it.
maybe until they saw the 4A'07 sitting at their ususal spot in the canteen,
and cheered for all of them + ourselves at flag rasing (:

aft tt was lessons aft lessons,
and in my rush from one LT to another,
i barely had the time to think abt HCL.
[so the truth is i havent thought abt it much and jus prayed hard for the best]

lunch was better.
went ard with XiaoYou to sing bday songs to Suat (:
found out tt there're quite alot of individuals celebrating their bday today:
HongSheng, Suat, & a few other DHS ppl i forgot,
and XiangJing, JonNeo!
January babies are everywhere~

aft PW was THE time.
we were all crossing our fingers and hoping for the bestest best.
i didnt dared to look at my paper when miss leong handed it to me.
cos my HCL only got B4 in my EOY (it's the truth - i only got 63)
'B3, B3 PLEASE'

however, to my surprise i was pleasantly shocked to see A2!
OMG tt was like so much better than expected!
i was on cloud 9 ^_^

as i dropped my CSC H1,
my next period was free,
so me, XiaoYou, Elvina & Suat went to look for Lu Lao Shi to thank her for her teachings.

received good news:
4e 是强的！
we got like 20 A1s + 11 A2s = 31 distinction!
most pro in level lah!
and 4i got 2nd best,
decides Lu Lao Shi's salary increase for this year! hehe.


and there are quite some miraclez happenging,
like me getting A2! and some ppl who hav been failing getting B3s!
super cool right?
and that there are 2 who scored 9A1s + 4 8A1s out of the single 4A class tt attempted the o levels!
isnt this super ultra wonderful!
i'm so proud of them mann!
esp eunice, who is being ultra smart self as usual [or maybe not like usual, haha] (:

but then i found out tt a lot of ppl really sad leh.
i mean really emo-ing.
no i'm not talking about those who are disappointed cos they didnt reach their own ultra high expectations,
but those who really slided out of their normal performance standard.
and those who, erm, didnt do well for some reason or another.

i really ran out of words of encouragements,
so all i hav to say is JIAYOU!
dont like this setback pull u down!

Introducing DHS panda breeding program Beta version 2.0

Given the current situation of endangered pandas, Dunman High School of Singapore has decided to breed out more pandas in a short time. As natural breeding takes a long time, Dunman High has taken a more advanced approach, which is forced evolution among species that is most abundant in terms of numbers. That of course is humans, specifically DHS year 5 students'08.

Steps to ensure a good panda-human (Ailuropoda melanoleuca sapien)

1) The most noticeable trait of the panda is the black eyes. Hence, pandas-to-be will be given tremendous amounts of homework and CCA load which will lead to loss of sleep and then black eyes. The fastest natural method to getting black eyes. Unsuccessful candidates who do not get black eyes no matter how much homework is given will be sent for boxing lessons.

2) A sleepy look is a must (Fig 1). Hence pandas-to-be will be given classroom tables and chairs to practice the pose of the panda as shown in Fig 1. As a catalyst for forced evolution, boring teachers with boring tutorials and lectures will be sent to aid the sleepy looks and poses of the pandas-to-be

3) A panda must look neat and smart (Fig 1). Hence the white fur must cover over 3/4 of its thigh, just touching the knee cap. A male panda-to-be to be must also have a sloped hair cut (no matter the cost) on 3 sides. However, rebonding is allowed. A panda-to-be can go for rebonding to look better.

If the programme successfully launches off, Dunman High School will be the first school to host an IP programme for pandas! So let's all contribute to the success of DHS.

UPDATES:

• i'm offically dropping my H1 CSC cos it's really too much work for me to handle. the H1 ppl are more heiong than the H2 ppl cos our teachers are different. Dont get me wrong, Miss Hong Lan is a very nice and dedicated teacher but 3 different homework for 1 subject per week is really too much to ask from me. and i dont have enough confidence for my chinese. >.<>
• although tt's the case i'm still very poor at time management! this is the list of things i signed up for, in running order of priorities: Pre-U seminar (which i most likely wont qualify), ISAC Russia Trip (dont even know if there are spaces!), Inner Mongolia OCIP Trip, Cultural Awareness Week - and the worst thing is they all happen at the end of may to early june! ARRGHH!
• Mdm Lee YT jus asked ChingHsien, Dora and me to help her with the Nanjing overseas trip board. finish by wed leh! >.<
• jinghuan & i volunteered to change to guitar 3 for some songs cos there wasnt enough ppl~
• oh XiaoYou & my dance lessons will end this sun :( think we'll go again next hols though.

Friday
a nice day for me,
got 4 free periods due to not taking CLL
and guitar in the aftnoon (:
then we went simei to dance.
i managed to convince XiaoYou & Keith to go look at the 'Greek Masterpieces' with me ((:

SATURDAY
went to the army market to get my booties
found out that they hav lots of other things on sale too (:

HOUSE B + house A outing!
sat & talked at bugis mrt while waiting for the rest.
ate steamboat @ 辣妹子 for 3 hours!
woah. the 麻辣 is super 腔!
we ordered 大辣 somemore leh!
the tou-pok and broccoli especially
javier's face was >.< size="4">麻辣 soup!

we went to bugis fountain to cut cake although all of us were super bloated.
so many ppl were staring that this lady wearing pink spaghetti was commenting:
'why so many people wearing red? chey, one cake only'

we wanted to go over surround her & gave her a piece of cake lah!
but then we started cheering ANG GONG GONG and spamming photos instead.
oh this guy jumped over our camera! and this cute little girl took photo with us. haha.


OMG i've a feeling my dunman senior high years are going to be so super FUNN!
my house is nice - ANG GONG GONG
my civics grp is nice - 5C12 rulez!
my civics tutor is nice - miss michelle leong's cool (:
my cca is nice - in diff ways, tt is.
my combi is nice - provided that i work hard and score

in conclusion, i'm so super glad tt i stayed in DHS!

woah. IT'S FINALLY THE WEEKENDS!

oh man.
i dont know how to express my joy enough, but i'm really glad it gave me a chance to catch a breather.

it has only been 1 week since sch offically started,
but yet i've been stuffed with to many things going on around me tt i almost died of suffocation.
i'm not exaggerating, it's the truth!

tt's one of the bad things about going on to the same sch.
u have lots of unfinished stuff and homework but yet the new ones are piling up!
[eg. GP essay, BSP essay] + math, CSC homework, computing, hist reading~
in addition to that i have my dance classes to attend after lessons,
(which end at 5plus because i take a weird combi)
as well as having to find time to prac guitar + read up for ISAC.
and my weird timetable doesnt help - i reach home at 8plus 9 everyday!
(although tt's becos of dance)

i simply am suck dry of my energy.
it's alr a miracle that i found the time to blog.

therefore, i really think tt 5 subjects + 3 CCAs can kill me.
so i need to drop a subject.
maybe hist? i like hist! i like miss selvi! but it's super chim >.<
CSC got a lot of homework,
but i like the teacher and it's interesting too.
i think Econs is interesting.
Miss Michelle Leong's tuitoral has been fun so far~
Computing is cool!~
i shld be ok if i dont lag (:
Conclusion:
out off all my subjects, i dont like Math.
but i cant drop math can k?

and with regards to my CCAs,
guitar has been real fun! (as usual) with more and more ppl joining (yay!) (:

oh and publications is still a bit messy.
and there's this Infocomm Club for computing students, think i'm interested too~
(though i hav to quit publications for it)

among all the stressful times,
there's still nice stuff to report too.
one would be tt i totally love my class!
i think 5c12 rocks lor seriously.
there are like ever so funny/lag/random/lame ppl!
we're definately the coolest mix.
and miss michelle leong has been pretty nice to us so far.
going home with them can make me laugh all the way~
really hope tt we'll continue to rock on! (:

oh forgot to mention that the buch of us are going to rehearsals for the chingay dance performance every Sunday.
the 'bunch' of ppl actually grew to about 20smth strong?!
due mainly to jiahui they all's 'pulling' efforts.
actually wanted to keep it small,
but oh well, the more the merrier?


anyway, i believe in living life to the fullest.
i've decided to lead a happy life and my senior high years would be filled with coluors.
i wont compromise my stuides for it though!
(oh i've decided to take SATs if there is no change)
and neither i'll let any obstacle stop me.
i'll hav to be extra careful with time management!

erm i hav to admit tt i came to sch w/o high expectations for orientation at the beginning,
cause this is Dunman High aft all,
and we're not traditionally good at this type of thing.
dunno why people jus hav this sterotype of DHS being cao muggers & CHINa & tt we dont do fun stuff unlike other so-called 'happening' JCs like VJ?

and to all of us Year 5 is just another year in DHS,
isn't this going to be jus another Xplore?



but i think the OGLs totally proved us wrong
by blowing our minds off with an Orientation so much better than expected!
so much so tt i think our our seniors really rock! ((:
they must hav put so much effort into this.



haha come to think of it i've really missed being a participant in this kindof thing cause i usually am the one to plan them.
it feels real good to hav ppl taking care of u
and i think we're really fortunate to hav such nice & enthu seniors willing to look after us!
think our Year 6s really deserve our respect and a round of applause
as i know they didnt hav a really fun orientation themselves but
still are really dedicated and willing to sacrifice for our sake.

okok back to the main point.
i'm in OG 6, and OG6-11 make up House B - the RED ang gong gongS
(house A - orange, C - green, D - blue)
OG 6 + OG 7 - Year 6s = 5C12 -> my civics grp (:

Day 1
had flag rasing with 4e (naturally grp tgt) as there was no visible markings for civic grps.
admin took up the whole morning.
had icebreakers by class. play 'home chucky'.
[ JinHui's 不好玩. HAHA ]
came up with this Royston GL cheer. and this 'suck-up' cheer (:
there was this ballon game by house, which was kind of violent.

had Taxidi
we were like one of the last grps la.
the starter clue they gave was totally HUH?
and our teacher was, ai yah, dont want to mention him.

station 1 - some park in tanjong pagar
where we mixed mock-tails (ours was 80% apple juice) haha.
station 2 - SAFRA mt faber
pool! i seriously tried to play..
station 3 - redhill HDB
reached there they ask us to turn back -.-

started learning mass dance.
All Stars cum Larger than Life, with moves tt are quite idiot-proof.
i like. it sort of gets everyone moving tgt and get high (:
it was 7plus tt the last team came back la.
went home with the 4e ppl.

Day 2
reached DHS hostel bright and early.
7.30am to be exact.
i sort of woke up late, took a taxi there, it cost me $8.35
realised there were lots of ppl late. -.-
and our grp was super small, cos got a lot of ppl didnt come.
[ anyway it was better for them not to come :) ]

made the flag which we carried ard.
attempted Intelli-match - ARRGHH we were so STUPID!
walked slowly to kallang river side park, where we had Survivor.

think most of the stations were quite fun.
we played against OG 7 cos of Su Leng + Valarie
though we lost in most of the stations, we had a lot of fun!
(it sort of didnt matter cos the pts were going to the house anyway)
and aft the 1st lousy check pt we managed to come up with grp cheers finally. (:

there was this checkpt where it's like the Taiwan variety show where they are tied with this rope and had to eat run and eat food!
and there was this station where we played blind catch
[ i was the blind mouse tricked by OG7 -.- ]

there was this station where the guys were tied up and we tried to catch pingpong balls in the strong wind.
it was total failure.
but there was this other station which was quite fun!
it was some kind of telematch where we had to complete several tasks in grps of 3.

1. finish one whole bar of choco - gd choice adeline! white choco was nice! wah but it was super hard to chew!!
2. had to blow this ballow and poke this satay stick thru without brusting it - haha i'm super pro at this (: lucky i didnt try to blow it though. i bet the choco will jus all fly inside!
3. carry 1 person for a dist - we chose to piggy back cos it was easier, i was piggy backed most of the times cos i'm light? haha. Keith + HongYi & Andrew + Joanne were super funny!
4. play fr
5. spit water at this can! - lucky only the last team would hav to do it~ Andrew VS Guppy + a few mouths from Keith. HAHA SUPER FUNNY! the water was milky from all the choco la!

it was a tie in the end (:

oh the next check pt was at the beach i think.
where PingYan & Royston were station masters
(Royston is our OGL lor! then went to be station master. MIA for so long)
the game was quite fun leh, surprisingly.
or maybe it was our class tt made it fun.
Andrew's random comments and Greek Mythology and General Knowledge
and the digging for bears. - the OGLs almost didnt find it!
haha. it was fun sitting at the breakwater anyway. (:

we learnt this fever+power cheer during lunch,
then went for dragon boating.

we danced quite a bit b4 the actual dragon boat.
at 1st grace & i volunteered to get seperated from our grp,
but in the end they put us back, haha.
our boat was super enthu lor, we changed the 1-2, 1-2 to SpongeBob SquarePants!
we changed our SpongeBob SquarePants to ZhongTong ShuaiGe & Ah-Neh ShutUp subcequently.
the instructor was super pleased with us lor, cos even though we're an all-girls boat
(RuiXian can be counted as girl la hor)
we were super synchronised! ^_^

aft tt we it was the bus ride back to sch in which we lost LiBing. oppz.
we were the 1st to use the toilet! cos we were the first to reach sch and suppose to bath.
SUPER SHIOK!
sat with Adeline on the benches outside foyer to wait for the rest.

queued super long for hong kong noodles. ARRGHH.
talked to Joshua (who shocked me with his super loud SIMIN) & Mervyn.
ate with the entire 5C12 ((:

JAM NIGHT!
super HIGH! we jus jump & jump and scream & scream with Venus's Apple (the Year 6 band)
who were super coool!
and the Mr & Miss Sexy Leg and Sexy Lips was WHOO!

aft tt we went to watch Wishing Stairs.
nicole played a trick on andrew by grabing his legs in the dark!
he totally freaked out la, didnt watch even a second of Wishing Stairs.
we were cut a few mintutes to the ending though. i hav to agree it's quite scary.

FRIGHT NIGHT!
super cool! it was like Guides' night games - so i bet Shermine suggested it ((:
there were 10 stations and we had to move around the sch with lightsticks and a pass to search for clues!
keith & i were the first pair and we took super long la.
cos we thought tt the clue was small we took a LONG time.
in the end it's jus super obvious. i felt so cheated.

cos we had to solve this password to crack into rachel's email account.
we solved it and they actually told us it was wrong! WTH. ARGGGHHH!
so we lagged by 1 station.
in the end we handed up the paper b4 the last pair could make it back.
so disappointed lor, we tried so hard.
but it was quite a fun experience i have to agree (:

watched DORM - a thai movie.
supposed to be horror but it's actually not scary!
i encourage u guys to watch it too
it has a nice plot abt this thai boy in a broading sch (:

LT1 was FREEZING.
luckliy we didnt watch in LT1.
even my t-shirt inside my bag was cold!
my BSP jacket sure came in handy..

had bee hoon for breakfast.
mass danced in the parade sq.
flag raising in orientation tee & stinky+wet shoes.
photo-taking + mass dance at grand stand.
wrote msg on each other's backs.
admin accouncements.

DEAD tired.
pangseh the ppl walking to mrt to take 111.
met Ching, Cam & YaoLu.
slept all the way..

continued sleeping after bathing.
i seriously can sleep all the way till the next day if Ching didn't call me at 6pm.
yeah i was tt tired.
i was suppose to meet them for Pastamania @ 5.45pm. oppz.

197 took super long to reach there.
and i slept on the bus also lor.
the stupid jam make me take 1h instead of 1/2. HUMPH.

reached the correct place.
[didnt miss the stop. phew~ ]
called my 5C12 mates for directions.
Keith, LiBing & Nicole were so nice tt they came out looking for me lah!
THANKS LOTS! and thanks LiBing for the RED lightstick (:

had a really HIGH dancing session at ECP,
with all the 'sparkling juice' popping and everything,
not to mention the ANG GONG GONG cheer! WHOO!

after tt they announced the results for FRIGHTNIGHT.
although ours was quite last minute and incomplete, we were THAT close.
but wat made up for the disappointment was that
HOUSE B WON THE OVERALL CHAMPION!
haha, we're truely ANG GONG GONGs now ((:

as this year's orientation theme was 'Strength in Unity'
the SCs came up with this cheer where they would say 'Unity in Strength' and we were supposed to reply with 'Strength in Unity'
but there's this weirder one where they would say 'GO RED' & we're supposed to say 'GO BLUE'??
i dont see the link but luckily for us, other than this the rest of the cheers were great (:

i specially like the House B cheers,
where the seniors would go 'ANG GONG GONG AH ANG GONG GONG'
and we're supposed to reply in similar manner with all the violent hand swingings
HAHA yeah they were violent but i think it totally brought out the House B firey RED spirit !!
yeah we rock! ((:

and i mean it,
we totally ROCKED THE SCHOOL la.
with our super violent ANG GONG GONG cheer & us screaming at the top of our voices.
and 5C12 rocks too!

OMG, OG7 is 强 la, they won like a lot of the games.
cos they announced the results for each game.
neverthe less, we were not bad also lor.
at least we got 2nd runner up in Survivor - haha it was rather superprising cos we kept losing cos we were playing against OG7, in which they got 1st.
anyway, this shows that our class tgt is 强 de lor!
we studies not gd but gd at this type of things. haha.


conclusion is, i look forward to a fun-filled senior high year!
i'm SUPER GLAD tt i'm in 5C12 and House B!

That’s because Soda Green write songs only because they enjoy doing it,
Not because they wanted money nor fame
(if you don’t know who are they it’s alright, they’ve remained relatively low-profile cos their musicians, not IDOLS)

[ actually I had been super hungry and realised that I shld hav jus said I wanted yoshinoya to solve the problem ]
So anyway, we went to Yoshi, sat on this long table.
No more 谈判 style.
We jus sat girls-guys with FuXing & QianHui zig-zag in the middle.
I had the Beef holiday student meal with ice lemon tea to satisfy my hunger.

WeiHan came and her drama-mama sort of lightened the atmosphere a bit.
She talked to LJJ abt this guy (what’s his name),
She forgot to bring her phone.
It become a Pri-sch gathering! (: Yup.

Aft tt was I AM LEGEND @ The Cathey.
Speaking of tt I had this bad experience trying to get discounted tickets for everyone.
Cos the stupid card only can buy like max 4 tic at one go so I had to queue like, 4 times!
But oh well. Everyone paid $6 instead of $8.
[ except huijuan who forgot to pay >.< I’ll jus hav to get it from weihan then! :) ]

The show was quite good,
Even though I was quite tense at some parts,
And the ending is abit, well, anti-climax,
The show could have been longer too.

Oh I realized tt the guys hav a habit of walking in very fast,
In the weirdest directions also.
They love to take short cuts even though it’s kindof stinky?

Ok anyway,
I had to go get my paycheck by today, which was 31th, last day of 2007.
So while I went, the rest stoned at PS waiting for me.

The cheque collecting was surprisingly quick.
I called QianHui and she said they are ‘outside starbucks’
So I walked around the whole of starbucks,
And didn’t see anyone.

And so it turned out tt they were like on seats below the trees.
And I thought they were like outside starbucks cos someone bought a drink -.-
Oh and by that time Don Chan & Michelle came.
And we saw this bunch of guys with pink & purple hula hoops playing some kind of game?
And at close look I realize one of then is Kumaran!
Haha, went over to talk (:


We boarded bus 36 to ECP.
And according to michelle,
Got off at a bus-stop earlier than we shld.

After settling our barang,
Michelle, Ra & I went to rollerblade while the rest cycled.

Yeah. ROLLARBLADE.
Michelle say she’ll teach us!
It was a bad beginning – we keep falling!
And the experts were using the beginners space to prac their dangerous stunts too,
Forcing us L-platers to the rim of the handrails.

It took a lot of focus and sheer determination,
But at last, I DID IT!
Yeah we were wobbly & unsteady at first,
But aft awhile we were able to balance ourselves
And blade without falling/help in a straight line!

Yup then the rest came back.
Went to Mac.
I had Ice Milo.
WeiHan donated her chicken nugget to me. (Thanks! )
Then came over with lots of flattery to ask us to stay longer. *winkwink*

Checked bowling prices,
Realized it’s expensive cos it’s eve of public hol,
The Pool place don’t look right.
Went to this PLACE to stone.
With XiangJing there eating his takeaway Mac.

Michelle, Ra, WeiHan & I went off.
For WeiHan’s case, it was a very difficult decision.
Michelle’s Dad very kindly sent us to MRT.
THANKS MICHELLE & UNCLE!

Heard tt they went to Mac & BK to play cards
And slept at the ECP breakwater for those who stayed over.

In conclusion, OK LA. Haha.
But the best part is, I LEARNT TO BLADE!
Cool right, my 1st time only leh!
Haha must go with me to prac more! (:
and maybe can ice-skate also le! yay!
