haha i've always liked fridays, not only becos it's the last sch day of the week
but also cos it's one of my slackest days (i got 4 free periods due to CLL slots)
and there's guitar (:


Happenings, in RANDOM order:

i did something stupid today.
WARNING: it's really stupid. cant believe i actually did tt. ARRGH.
(i dont do stupid things one lor. this is an exception. spoil my image. Humph.)

anyway, i went to the locker tt i share with Ching & Esther.
opened the lock, put smth in.
wanted to go to the toilet (which is jus beside)
thought i'll take smth out later, so left the lock there, unlocked.
when i came back the lock was gone lah!!
i was so super shocked.
i was in the toilet for like, less than 2 min?
so i thought some jus played a prank and hopefully the lock would be inside my locker.
wistful thinking of mine. if only ppl can be so nice.
i was like, totally amused.
tt person must be freaking MADD.
who in the world would take my lock lah,
not as if you know my combi?
take my lock u also cant use. then take for what. SIAO.

then Esther & i went to empty our locker.
lucky tt person didnt take my GC lah. *phew*
then i had to carry this heavy bag of things home.
so i was cursing the person all the way lor.
CURSE CURSE CURSE #%$@^&*%!!!
DONT LET ME CATCH YOU OR ELSE I MIGHT JUST SKIN YOU ALIVE!!!

so yah. had to get ChengYi to dig out the old lock we used in Sec 2.


ohh besides lock-stealers, there's this other type of person tt i despise.
ok lah. not really despise, but i jus dont like the way they do things.
familar with NTH?
yeah he's the traitor tt went off to TJ.
i'm not saying tt going off from DHS makes him a bad person,
and neither am i singling him jus becos he has been known twice as a traitor (out of SJ).
i'm merely using him as a convenient example to cillustrate my next point.

I DONT LIKE TESTI CHASING PPL.
i'm not like condemning them or anything lah,
not tt there's anything wrong with wanting a prefect testimonal,
but i think tt smth is definately wrong if in the process of
i believe that your CV shld be naturally built up becos
you hav the passion and the interest to do a particular project/ attend a certain seminar,
and not the other way round,
where you want your CV to look good THEN you sign up for the seminar.
and i cant stand ppl who, whether willingly or unwillingly,
deprived others who are truly passionate of the chance to participate.
or worse, jus treat DHS as a stepping stone to greener pastures - signing up for a lot of prestigious programes then end up leaving DHS, leaving the teachers to have to find another subsitute for you
this is inresponsible behaviour.
yeah we live in a competitive society,
but stepping over others while trying to climb up the ranks of the corporate leader is still wrong huh.

we improved lots for guitar today!
i actually can hear our improvements leh.

HighFive meetings late at night is killing me.
aft a whole day of lessons i still hav to go for meeting at out of the way Toa Payoh @ 7.30pm!
so late right. GRRR.
but meetings are quite funn actually.
Esp the Recruitment one.
even though there were lots of insider jokes tt we 'catch no ball',
it allowed me to know how the EXCO thinks thru stuff and more abt the selection process and how the camp is actually part of this goal tt we hope to achieve and what are some of the loopholes of the camp or highfive in general.
which i identified as the portrayal of highfive itself.
it keeps attacting a certain type of people becos the grp associates itself with a certain image..
oh it was gd to see comitted highfivers coming back to help even aft so many years!
[ goes back into 1999! ]

oh we the 5C12 computing ppl are chionging like MADD!
we're partically going to com lab to chiong our Environmental Health Thinkquest submission.
and the NYAA 4/3?!
San Francisco here we come!
and Mr Gi & Mr Tan too. haha.

ohh speaking of Mr Tan CB.
i think he's nice!
he's really encouraging lor.
like in my GP journal he wrote lots of 'good explanation'
even though i discovered tt it's not even good at all aft i re-read!
and he helped us with our Thinkquest! though he's not obliged to.
and he didnt get angry even though we were so engrossed in researching tt we forgot it supposed to be GP until grace's hp rang!
even though our class didnt take his lessons very seriously,
i think he's a good and knowledgeable teacher~
i shall reciprociate by being a hardworking student!

Went for 2 talks and felt a bit scammed.
the 1st was this talk abt china where we listened to this prof
though it wasn't as inspirational as wat i expected and was abit boring,
it was still much better than the 2nd part
where we ended up listening to this super haolian prof talk abt his china doll collection -.-

ok the second was about waff.
ERM, it wasnt exactly wat i expected,
and to a certain extend it was more of a scam
for one we didnt expect to see tt the rest of the participants were from secondary schs -.-
and we wasn't exactly informed of wat we were in for..
but the speaker was much nicer though (:

oh i discovered tt NUS food was good!
for the same price as food sold in our sch canteen,
we could get much better food!
eg. i paid $2.20 for a chicken cutlet which tasted gd aft eAating i was super full
while we had to pay $2.50 for baked rice in sch which is not even filling!
ARRGH. so unfair.

i had to go for semakau mock guiding so i couldnt' join 5C12 at miss leong's house. :(

well, luckily the talk ended early so i didnt hav to take taxi to meet the semakau ppl
i was jus in time to see Grace, Samuel, Camelia at the bus-stop too!
but so sad eunice couldnt make it for the boat :(

the boat was cool!
and cosy cos it was divided into diff cabins.
Mock guiding was kindof scary though.
I was super stressed cos I didn’t finish my script! >.<
felt super bad abt it.
Shld buck up for OTJ – super stressed!

Gd news though – we didn’t really get bitten by mossies!
Maybe it’s cos we’re the last grp to track thru the forest?

Went for dinner/supper with the older guides.
We squeezed into Justin’s car!
And were squashed to one side when he did his sudden turns on purpose. Haha.
It’s quite cool to talk to them too,
even though we hav a bit of generation gap.
Oh Justin was telling us abt Uni life, which was interesting to know.
And he said I look/sound like an arts student!
Haha yup I am, but how did he know tt?!
Oh he said I look/sound like a student leader too.
Hmm…

Btw, he said tt the students staying in the NUS halls are too rar-rar to study,
Driving to Malaysia for dinner and skipping lectures the next morning,
Graduating with boarderline passes?!
OMG tt totally put me off staying in the hostel.

Oh and when I asked him whether I shld go to NUS, NTU or SMU,
His immediate answer was SMU, cos they were practical in their way of empowering students.
According to him, NTU was theoretical, while NUS attempts to be practical.

I was thinking of going to the Banking & Finance sector
(THINK only cos I might not even be gd enough.)
And I know NTU’s accountancy is gd but I don’t wanna study accounting.
Think I can do banking without an accounting cert?

Anyway I think NUS life will make me really busy
cos there are lots of events tt I can participate in
so it’ll most prob make me too busy for my studies (like now)
therefore maybe it’ll suit me better but maybe it’s time for me to venture out of my comfort zone
and choose SMU for a change as it’ll enhance my employment opportunity?
Though I’ll save on transport I’m going to spend a lot of food If I go SMU
cos u simply cant find cheap food as they are located next to orchard rd!!
and they are very competitive on coming up with the next big proj
and they dress like they are ready to go shopping! >.<

oh well, like they said, I still have 2 years.

Anyone wanna go for the SMU open house (9/3 cos I cant make it on 8/3)
or NUS open house (15 or 16/3) with me?

he commented tt HWS peeps sing their national anthem loudly,
but sadly gone were the days - DHS ppl dont even sing half as loud.

Decided to make a trip down to PS to eat cos the neighbourhood shops all wanna close for CNY eve.
Aft being rejected by full hose fastfood resturants,
We finally found seats at KFC as a grp of ppl stood up to leave.

We were laughing over the WeiHan VS LJJ super LOL MSN convo
And were wondering if chenying either lost her way or drop inside the toilet bowl when she came with this handful of books.
One of them very suitable for LJJ – smth to the idea of: How to fight and win arguments. Haha.

Wanted to go to mind café to play board games.
Who knows it’s closed.
So went back to our fav activitiy – play cards!
so we went to Paradiz Mac where chenying & I kept ourselves entertained by watching the rest play bridge. (watching that particular game was entertaining!)
then we switched to the Naming game.
Very challenging!
But quite fun also lah, haha.
I was King for the last few rounds of TaiTi! ^_^



7-8/2 初一 初二

Went to my relatives’ houses to pai nian.
Brought along ‘The Kite Runner’ – very nice book!
(the movie currently showing in cinemas but not sure whether nice though)
Haha. I always bring a book along to pai nian so much so tt my relatives refer to it as my trademark!

Yeah so I haven’t been at home for so long tt I forgot we’re suppose to hav class com MSN convo!
But apparently almost everyone else forgot too cos there was only LiBing & Andrew 1 to 1 convo tt night. Haha.



9/2 初三 Sat

Went to Semakau with Samuel, Grace & Eunice!
Was quite fun except for the irritating mossies!
There was like one SWARM following Samuel lah!
We had to dash thru the forest to avoid being stunk to death!
[ did I mention tt mosquitoes are my most hated beings on earth?!]

Saw lots of interesting stuff,
Though I think we saw more at Chek Jawa.
But it’s super scary when it’s dark!
U cant see where u’re stepping and poor Eunice almost fell!
It was still a great experience though.

The 4 of us went in search for food at 10plus!
In the end we had waffles at Gelare’s.
We were super slow in deciding lah!
We’re a bunch of indecisive ppl.
(Eunice purposely went with me to the toilet to give the other 2 some time alone.. haha)
We’re going Semakau on 23 feb again!
And Cam is coming this time (:



10/2 初四 Sun

Chingay.
Not a lot of ppl went, and it was quite messy as usual,
But oh well. We’re still good (:
Decided wat we’re going to make-up and settle bags and all.

Went with HongSheng & Keith to fetch JingHuan @ Kallang Mrt.
OMG they crazy.
Almost couldn’t stand them along the way lah, had to get JingHuan to save me.
Seriously think they’re turning me onto the edge of madness.
If I turn psyco it’ll be their fault.

It a little better with JingHuan there,
At least now there’s 2 of us against the 2 mad man. Haha.
Oh and we met up with Suat on 31, then took the NEL cum LRT to Kevin’s house.

By the time we reached they all hav had dinner and are getting ready to lo hei lah.
So we were jus in time.
Although we had newspaper on the floor,
It didn’t stop the slices from literally FLYING all over and landing everywhere on the floor, clothing & faces.
Needless to say, the whole living room ended up SUPER MESSY.

Following tt was a maga photo taking session.
They force me to eat this whole lump of yu sheng! >.<>I got a new motto:
'To prevent the endangered ‘nice human’ species from being bullied!' (:

Reached home at 12am
And still had to go sch the next morning.
Lucky it was celebration.


11/2 Mon – CNY celebration @ DHS

All of us arrived in our ANG GONG GONG tees.
Concert + free time to walk ard stalls
Followed by sitting under the hot blazing sun.
Good job for the lion dance though (:

House Elections!
It was done in a semi serious manner.
All I hav to say is our house has a generally strong committee,
With all the candidates winning by a lot of votes.
[ other houses – 3 or 4?! ]
Sure hope tt they’ll bring ANG GONG GONG to greater heights!

Class Outing!
5C12 went to watch Ah Long Pte Ltd aft lots of discussions.
Took 111 to Plaza Sing. Ate Yoshi. Watched GV.
Nicole, SieuPing & I had this bad incident with the toilet. So malu lor! Haha.
YuJia was laughing so loudly in the cinema tt I could hear her although I’m sitting on the other end.
The prob is she laugh at all the wrong places. -.-

It was not a bad movie lah, if u don’t intend to watch a 2nd time.
Quite funny at times! (:
Met Andrew aft tt, he really went to queue to treat us Donut Factory!
So we sat in front of PS and ate.
Yum! Thanks! (:
[I realize Ang Gong Gong got this tendency to jus sit in a circle in public places, wearing bright red somemore. Haha. ]

SieuPing’s bday!
The rest went to buy yu sheng aft the movie.
We had Lo Hei in the canteen to celebrate Feb babies bday (SP + Dora)
We had ham instead of fish.

so i've decided to stop being so nice in order to avoid being bullied.

oh we went to the zoo & night safari
and shopping at chinatown in which my buddie didnt buy anything cos everything is imported from china and it'll be quite stupid to buy it back to Nanjing at 10 times the price too!
so aft buying some postcards and a giant pencil we went to sit at this roadside shop with ying square and her buddie, eating ngoh heiang and drinking mango tea/sprite - they very kindly bought for us even though we alr hav 3 bottles of water in our bags..

oh the farewell dinner was kindof ERM - in a strange venue.
it's like some ulu resturant at changi ferry pt with us singing to the ppl walking on the road..

the worst is i skipped so much of guitar and lessons!
i got no time to talk to my class about my great Class CIP ideas!
AARGGHH. and my class played the nice econs game tt i didn't play!
and guitar played drums! and i cant catch up on choro! AARRGGH!
so unfair! HUMPH.

i'm missing many chingay rehearsals too! >.<>
