finally got the photos!
but i lazy upload. haha.
let's see:
starting from the very beginning,
it was only me who wanted to go cos apprarently no one else from the CDCs did.
so i got a few of the 4E ppl & Joanna.
then JiaHui started asking this grp of ppl,
then it sort of spreaded like wildfire.
yupp so it was a bunch of dunmanians meeting faithfully every sun @ PAHQ to prac dance,
pespiring lots and having fun (:
then it was the preview,
where we talked to the ppl from SHEARS HALL - they seem so nice & fun-loving! i'll join them lah! if the fees werent raised. Humph. UNFAIR NUS HOSTEL! $100 leh! unjustifited fee increase!
haha ok so Ching helped with my contacts and i went for a while of guitar.
the bunch of us took 111 to my house (which was the nearest to city hall)
which the rest came later
to put down bags + make up.
erm it's quite scary to see a bunch of bright green ppl at ur house actually.
and making-up was quite disasterous given the fact tt not many of us knew how to do it.
as a result, it was giltter all over the floor & lots of failed hairspray attempts.
but there were reasons to cheer too!
like for elvina who managed to put on her contacts finally aft abt 40min?!
and 1 adviser, 1 hairpin, 1 tissueperson & 2 moral support.
she looked gd aft tt though (: - CJ7!!
we were there late.
but in the end it made no diff, we had to wait super long anyway.
we were zhao high thru out, singing all the konichiwa singapore + teck wah song. (:
oh & we sneaked out to buy drink :P
finally we get to standby,
b4 us was this taiwan tribal dance.
really admire their courage and professionalism~
the 2nd last performance - OURS!
it's quite cool to perform in front of so many ppl actually (:
but it was super tiring to perform 7 times straight,
and having to run from one performing area to another.
we chionged to the 7 eleven aft being deprived of food and water.
and were high all the way to my house despite our tiredness.
slept at 12 plus.
then came 16/2 - THE BIG DAY!
nic poh & alicia came the earlist.
played cards & disucssed abt the guitar prog booklet idea.
(i suggested a fairytale book! )
i only took less than 3min to put contacts in! YAY! (:
then started make-up.
it was more elaborate than yesterday's,
with all the eye glitter and all,
even MingQuan looked pretty! - Dora's work. HAHA.
oh and the hair spray was better too.
took lots of photos while waiting.
anyway, it was more on-time becos of the telecast i suppose.
erm everyone was super high except elvina & me.
still gave it my best shot though. worthy for the TV (:
The 7 performances passed by in a blur,
we were all screaming and running lots.
there were many DHS people tt were volunteers - haha i've been b4 i know tt performing is so much more funn! yay!
slapping hands with the specatators, and shouting THANKS FOR COMING
really felt like we were at some life concert esp with the blast of confetti & fireworks. ((:
wad a memoriable experience!
there was surprisingly a lot of water aft the performance,
so much so tt it turned to a splashing water parade!
haha i was lucky not to get wet.
oh and we took photos with the miss s'pore universe!
i batt flat, energy drained aft performacnce and was in one of my pissed-off mood.
but yet this bunch of ppl still didnt want to get a move on.
i was jus deciding to get a move on myself when chinyi & shining & mingquan decided to call for elvina admist the mess of ppl there and we set off to Mac tgt.
HongSheng, IvanHu, NicPoh joined us at Mac.
it's good to finally hav some food
though that mac was quite full of chingay ppl.
and jocelyn, dora, joanna came jus aft we ate.
so yup tt ended my day.
I'm SOOO glad tt i didnt wait for the rest of them lah.
we finished eating liao they still at the 7 eleven near the ending pt leh. -.-
and some even went to party all night.
oh and Ching's bag still at my house -.-
slept at 1plus cos i was trying with much difficulty to get the contacts out of my eye.
why does it seems so much easier to put it in?!
despite all these,
chingay was still FUNN!
and a very memorable experience.

writing this blog post is making me miss chingay.
oh well, i guess my sundays hav to be spent mugging at home trying in vain to finish my neverending pieces of homework now tt chingay is over.
