Green is the New Pink!
there was once a legend,
that on the far-eastern side of the small urbanised kingdom of Singapura,
was a region secluded, and unexplored.
the forest of lush, beautiful greenery; was breath-taking but remained unknown to few.
a team of knights in shiny armour, riding their advanced vehicles,
stumbled upon the path and were so amazed with it,
that they later took on the challenge to emark on a journey to unreveal its hidden treasures and made it known to the world!
haha yup kudos to the organisers of Make Green the New Pink,
i've gotten my first brush the well-reknowned East Coast Park Connector (ECPN) !
nope we weren't trying to paint the lush greenery at ECP with coats of nippon pink paint or anything like that,
[though i would rather much like to see that happening! (: ]
but the Make Green the New Pink movement was nonetheless as revolutionary!
on the morning after Friday the 13th,
[yes it was THE morning of 14th Feb]
smelling all the lovey-dovey spirit in the air,
i was part of this bunch of crazy revolutionists that gathered at the Tampines Sun Plaza Park for the greatest revolution in Singapore history in an attempt to "Make Green the new Pink"!
armed with placards saying "Green is the new Pink!" and riding their portable transportation.
the avid cyclists clad in pale blue, were not a single bit different from their precedents in shiny silver armour!
TAKING THE ECPN BY STORM!
that was exactly what we did.
we went on the arduous journey of 28km fuelled only by pure leg power,
peddling to our hearts content (:
we started from tampines - pairs ris - loyang - changi - straight to ECP.
it felt great to be able to cycle with a group of seemingly strangers but yet are united with the same love for the two-wheeled transport!
however things weren't as good as i wanted them to be.
did i mention that i havent been cycling for a long long LONG time?
well, the truth is, i haven't any "cycling-on-the-road-&-steep-slopes" experience.
in fact i'm the sort who cant really control an over-sized bike >.<
so in actual fact i was screaming my lungs out whenever we reach steep slopes,
to the extent that to avoid being a danger to myself and others,
i decided that to stop being a road harzard and just push my bike down the multiple steep slopes.
hence, for most of the time,
i was struggling to push my oversized bike down those killer slopes. >.<
luckliy for me,
a white van came to the rescue!
haha yup it was the organisers who very nicely offered to pick me up and whisk me off to changi where there'll be flatter ground where i could cycle without causing harm to others!
and there was this Mr Photographer who offered to cycle with me all the way to the ending!
really glad they tried so hard to make sure i didnt injure myself.
i really appreciate the patience and concern,
THANKS LOTS!((:
Grace was waiting patiently for me at the ending point,
and when i finally made it i was greeted by smiling faces at the reception counter and a nicely packed lunch + goodie bag!
while enjoying the performances i was actually thinking:
" *phew* i'm so lucky to survive this without a scratch! "
i've always wanted to undertake a journey on bike around Singapore,
and i'm so glad Grace asked me to join her in this movement to Make Green the new Pink!
despite not being to complete all of the 28km,
i'm glad of this new experience as i've certainly learnt lots in this journey!
and i will definitely challenge myself by taking my biking skills onto greater heights by guardually training and conquering the whole of Singapore soon!
CLCYLIST SINGAPORE, HERE I COME!
let me show you my GREEN LEG POWER!
be prepared for the NEW PINK MOVEMENT! ((:
if suddenly your streets turned pink without a reason,
you'll know who's the author of the masterpiece
*wink*
GREEN IS THE NEW PINK!
i've joined the revolution,
have you?

梁靜茹 - 情歌MV
4:42 AM
i'm a blessed individual (:
today is just of the days where i feel super inspired to blog.
maybe it has something to with the heavens giving a sign!
despite weird weather these 2 days,
which i highly suspect has something to do with global warming,
we were just blessed with the opportunity to see the spectacular view of, not one, but TWO ultra big rainbows!
[ignoring the possibility that this super cool phenomenon might be a result of the all-too-familar changing weather patterns]
call it superstition, but i do believe double rainbows signifies double good fortune! ((:
i'm so glad we got to see this on our way home for guitar SYF sound test lor.
maybe it's a blessing from the heavens that we're really going to find gold, and maybe honours, at the end of the rainbows! ((:
turning lemons into lemonade is my forte.
and so is finding joy in the little things in life!
and this happens to be jus one of them.
i'm so sorry i cant really post nice photos of them up here cos i dont think photos can ever do the breath-taking scene any justice (:
another pleasant surprise would be 梁静茹's 情歌 MV
i actually cried while watching that.
no wonder they call her 情歌天后.
i love the lyrics of 別再為他流淚
shall remind myself to listen to her songs if i ever fall out of love.
they are really good remedies.
trust me.
i'm a good love consultant.
speaking of that.
i really think i learn a lot just by being a good listener.
talk about learning from other's experience,
i realised i have a lot to learn from the people around me.
and i have quite a lot to learn from my own too.
beling reflective doesnt work if you dont learn from your past mistakes.
i discovered that i keep making a blunder out of myself sometimes,
totally infuriating & irriating.
ARRGH.
i shall make sure this doesnt hapeen again.
NEVER EVER.

today was a stressful but productive day.
haha the above statement is generally true for everything that happened today except computing and guitar.
let me explain this in detail:
my day started with a terrifying adventure.
going to school these days is really similar to going on a hiking trip in the think forest of the Amazon.
you carry your backpack, and get ready for war.
except that this time, instead of looking out for tigers & lions & other wild besats, we are supposed to keep an eye on the road for buses 158 & 12.
and instead of running away from them, we are supposed to chase after them with the speed like you would when running for dear life.
similar to the tigers & lions, they always come at a time when you least expect them, often catching you by surprise.
only this time, it felt more like a rude shock because right immediately after you realise that 158 is not going to stop at your bus stop, there comes a string of !@#$%^&*&^%$#@!! from the rest of the people waiting at the bus stop.
ARRGHH!
i hate this.
12 made me fly to school + step over wet soil yet again. (making it even more like a hiking expedition)
but on a brighter note, i wasn't late for school.
phew. i guess i really need to count my lucky stars.
but weighing the odds, how many times can i escape the crutches of the tiger?
i seriously wonder.
right after that was history.
SIGH.
history is the most stressful subject as of now. >.<
i seriously felt very useless and very stressed every lesson.
ARRGHH!
things cant go on like this anymore!
i need to acheive enlightenment soon!
computing after that was quite ><
we were supposed to complete the practical but we couldnt even get the IDE & JDK working ><
that explains why computing is stressful but totally NOT productive.
but i really hope that things are going to improve real soon!
we're going to attend extra lessons with mr gi and that'll save our completely CMI java programming!
YAY 我们有希望了!
after that was econs test.
ai yah that one dont need elaboration one lah.
after econs was GP timed assignment.
ARRGHH i cant write within time limit again!
but i think i sort of did a better planning than what i used to do.
in other words i was productive!
so that's already considered mark improvement for me le!
maybe some of the success can be attributed to Dora's Broader Perspectives. THANKS! (:
and wih that, came the end to my stressful part of the day.
after lunch with Suat,
was guitar all the way.
today's sectionals was quite productive i would say.
and the mini combined session too!
GOOD JOB EVERYONE!
SYF GWH, HERE WE COME!!!!

>.<
ARRGH!
i feel really stressed out despite staying on top of my work.
it's the 1st time in senior high that i'm handing everything on time!
but i'm still feeling more stressed than ever.
sometimes things jus make me feel really useless.
ARRGH. cant stand myself.
